Nicholas Osborn, a student at Beagle Middle School in Grand Ledge, spent 10 days last summer in the People to People Sports Ambassador Program to Holland in the Netherlands. In addition to competing in soccer at the Youth Friendship Games in Haarlem, Nicholas trained with experienced coaches and explored Holland with teammates from throughout the United States.

Editor, As a UNM student, I am appalled and disappointed in President David Schmidly's decision to, among other things, halt the hiring and pay increases of professors. There are alternative ways of saving money. Other universities, like Florida International University, are successfully exploring a four-day college week.
